2016 MMFF Movies Revealed – Vice Ganda, Vic Sotto out

December is fast approaching and the list is out for the 2016 MMFF Movies.

Here are the official entries to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival. There  were 8 movies that made it to the list and these movies are now being referred to as the “Magic 8”.

There are also eight films competing in the  short-film category- “Birds” by Christian Paulo Lat, “EJK” by Bor Ocampo, “Manila Screen” by Roque Lee and Blair Camilo, “Mga Bitoon sa Siyudad” by Jarell Serencio, “Mitatang” by Argin Jezer Gagui, “Momo” by Avid Liongoren, “Passage of Life” by Renz Vincemark Cruz and Hannah and “Sitsiritsit” by Brian Spencer Reyes.

For MMFF moviegoers, 2016 MMFF will definitely give a different film-fest feel.

Filmfest frequenters like Vice Ganda, Vic Sotto , Coco martin and Aiai Delas Alas are not on the roster of this year’s selected film. Based on the line-up, the movies on the line-up are more of Indie-type films.

The schedule will just be like the previous filmfests. Float parade will be on Dec. 23 and MMFF 2016 movies will be shown as usual on December 25th.

The 2016 MMFF will run until Jan. 7.  and awards night will take place the following day, Jan 8.
