8 vehicle collide along Kalayaan Avenue near Jervoiz St. in Barangay Pinagkaisahan in Makati City. As such, four people were reported injured.
The 8 vehicle collide Wednesday morning, and added to the rush hour traffic as late as 9 a.m.
The vehicles involved in the smash-up were a passenger jeepney (TYA-742), another passenger jeepney (TYK-963), a UV Express Service van (UQV-239), another UV Express Service van, a Toyota Vios sedan, a Mitsubishi Mirage sedan (ZTM-187) and a Mitsubishi Strada pick-up truck (UOW-353).
According to reports and as per information reached to Makati Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said the accident happened at about 7:04 a.m. as the involved vehicles were going towards Bonifacio Global City.
Because 8 vehicles collide, heavy traffic has worsened in the area, leaving one lane of Kalayaan Avenue blocked to rush hour traffic.
This followed as emergency rescue personnel tried removing the vehicles and started clearing the road of debris.
In action is the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) who immediately sent an ambulance to the accident scene to bring the injured to the hospital.
Whereas, Makati Rescue personnel and the outh Cembo Rescue arrived with a firetruck to clear the road of spilled oil and gasoline from the wrecked vehicles.
Fortunately, 8 vehicles collide but only left the victims with mnor injuries.
Investigators are in action to determine the cause of the accident.
