Actor “Bangkay” a.k.a “Bangky” dies at 71

Actor Bangkay or Nonong “Bangky” de Andres dies earlier today, Tuesday in  Plaridel, Quezon at the age of 71.

His nephew Powee Capino shared a Facebook post about his uncle’s demise.  According to reports, Nonong died spent his last hours ath the house of his friend, Mayor Bernard Tumagay.

It was said that “Bangkay”  suffered from emphysema and other illnesses.

He was popularly known for playing scary roles in horror  and comedy movies. He got his screen moniker for portraying a “dead person” in some films.

His other nickname “Bangky”, came from his role in  ABS-CBN’s 2014 hit series “Forevermore,” that starred Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil. He was partnered with the late  Lilia Cuntapay  (Aunor), which  became a ht and brought to lif ethe  “BangLi” onscreen loveteam. Bangky’s character was also the father figure to Enrique Gil (Xander), where he stood as a love adviser.

Both Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil expressed sympathy and sadness upon hearing the sad news.
