After Mapua, UST bomb threat also false alarm

UST bomb threat happened today after the Manila campus of the Mapúa University had the same incident yesterday.

In a Twitter post by Anakbayan UST , it was said that a bomb was set t o explode at around 12 noon since the Mapua bombing did not take place. The last line of the message mentioned the New People’s Army (NPA).

According to reports, the said text message was received by a a first-year medical technology student at around 8:00 am.

Yesterday, Mapua also received a bomb threat that prompted the school officials to cancel classes and work. In the university’s official FB page, an announcement was made requiring everyone to leave the campus premises. After police check, it was confirmed that it was a a false alarm.

Manila Police District searched the UST grounds and found no explosives after the investigation of the personnel of  district’s Explosive and Ordnance Division (EOD) .

Classes and work were not cancelled despite the UST bomb threat.
