In the meantime on the Twitterverse, the soap opera was also among the top trending topics in the Philippines during its maiden episode and remained so for the rest of its pilot week. The series indeed made good on its promise of making audiences laugh with the Comedy Queen’s funny but subtle antics and of making them fall in love with the characters as the narrative focused on the love-hate relationship between long time best friends Jeni, played by Ms. Ai-Ai delas Alas and Tony, played by actor Gardo Versoza.

If this trend continues, “Let the Love Begin” is most likely to become another major hit for GMA Kapuso Network’s primetime programming.

The Comedy Queen’s son, Sancho de las Alas also joins the cast of “Let the Love Begin.”

She was a contract star for sixteen years with ABS-CBN before she decided to transfer with GMA Kapuso Network. According to Ms. Ai Ai, her return to GMA-7 was a “homecoming” of sorts, having worked with the said network when she was just starting her career as a television and cinema actress. She was a co-host in former noontime shows “Lunchdate” and “Salo-Salo Together” and starred in the weekly sitcom “1 for 3” in the 1990s.

In addition to “Let the Love Begin”, the Philippine Comedy Queen is set to do three other projects with her new network including a Sunday show, a morning show and a talk show.

Ms. Ai Ai expressed her gratitude to everyone who watched “Let the Love Begin” through social media. She at the same time threw her support behind the FIlipino finalists in the grand finals of the Asia’s Got Talent competition in her Instagram account.
