Baron and Kiko Matos fight, unanimous draw?

The most awaited Baron and Kiko Matos fight settled for a draw after locking horns for two rounds in a highly anticipated MMA exhibition bout Saturday at the Valkyrie Club in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The Baron and Kiko Matos fight as per judge’ scores 19-19, resulting a unanimous draw.

During the fight, Matos dominated the opening round, positioning himself to a full mount and pummeling Geisler for majority of the canto.

But in 2nd and final round, Baron stormed back as he pounded his rival. Both men looked gassed by the final bell.

As the decision was announced, the viewers demanded for an additional round to settle the score. But an obviously gassed out Geisler appeared to decline, and the draw decision stuck.

It was previously reported that the Baron and Kiko Matos fight was promoted to settle the differences between the two actors figuring out an altercation at a bar in Quezon City last month. Thus, URCC Alvin Aguilar invited the two to settle their differences inside the ring.

“We are offering you both a chance to finally settle your score inside the URCC cage and not in the streets,” Aguilar said during a presser in May.

On the other hand, the Matos-Geisler card is one of the many fights featured in the Fight Night that spotlights Chris Hofmann versus Arvin Chan in the top billing. Other cards feature John Adajar against Jericho Tomagan, and Eddie Estrada opposite MJ Abrillo.

Having an edge of the fight, Geisler leans on a bit of tae kwon do experience while Matos said he is familiar with jiu-jitsu.

Baron and Kiko Matos fight generated buzz off ridiculous taunt- and tension-laden pressers caught on camera. During the weigh-in, Matos even sprayed his urine onto Geisler.
