A couple pushes through wedding amid typhoon. As for them the wedding must go on!!
According to reports, floods and strong winds did not stop the couple in Nabua, Camarines Sur from professing their love to each other during the onslaught of Typhoon Nina (international name: Nock-Ten) on Christmas Day.
The couple who went viral online as they pushes through wedding amid typhoon were identified as Maria Cyril Hernandez of Santiago Young, Nabua and Mark John Martinez of Iriga City.
And because of their determination and love for each other, their wedding amid typhoon pushed through. And as expected, they drew attention on social media after photos of the two dressed in a wedding gown and suit while standing in knee-deep floods surfaced.
Based on reports, Hernandez said she almost lost hope due to problems such as poor communication lines before their wedding.
She arrived at her wedding with the help of her neighbors, while her groom, Mark, arrived in a motorcycle three hours later after passing fallen trees and utility poles along the road.
However, the wedding amid typhoon pushed through but some of their visitors, including their photographer were not able to make it to their wedding, leading them to settle for cellphone photos instead.
Allegedly, the bride who was already five months pregnant, cried when the wedding finally pushed through. She even almost lost consciousness due to fatigue.
And because of the flooded road, the couple uses a small boat instead of a wedding car.
Hernandez and Martinez allegedly said that their wedding was far from what they imagined but what is important for them is they were happy that they were united as husband and wife.
