The presumptive President and Vice-President of the Philippines were invited at PPO send off concert. The send off concert of Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) for the Carnegie Hall Project invites Duterte and Robredo as the guests of honor.
The PPO send off concert invitation for Duterte and Robredo was posted in PPO music director Olivier Ochanine’ Facebook page.
The invitation was extended through an open letter posted on Thursday.
“I will naturally invite Rody Duterte directly, since I know him, but this open invitation serves two purposes – to, of course, let you all know that we have this send-off concert, and also so that you can all hopefully share this post to the point that RD (Duterte) and his new partner for the Philippines, LR (Robredo), hear about it through you, the Filipino people, and come to support your nation’s leading professional orchestra,” Ochanine said.
“Everyone is very good at clamoring for recounts or banding together for a cause – let’s band together to encourage the new President-elect and VP-elect to grace our event and wish the Philippine Philharmonic a successful, historic Carnegie Hall debut!” he added.

The PPO send off concert will be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Little Theater at 7:30 p.m. on June 10. And Ochanine went to say that the send off concert can also serve as Duterte and Robredo’s “first business date to get better acquainted.”
On the other hand, PPO will perform at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York on June 18 for the first time, which according to Ochanine, the performance will be part of the orchestra’s United States tour billed as “Milestones: Celebrating the Filipino spirit.”
Ochanine also believes that PPO’s concert tour “will bring about great pride not only to the orchestra, but to Filipinos here and abroad.”
