eSports considered for 2019 SEA Games

2019 SEA Games (30th Southeast Asian Games)will be welcoming eSports as a regular event!

Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc) chair Alan Peter Cayetano announced that eSports will be a medal event in next year’s SEA Games.  Philippines will be hosting the 2019 Southeast Asian Games (November 30-December 10,2019), which will be participated by 11 Asian countries.

Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc) chair Alan Peter Cayetano  announced in a press conference held at Marriot Hotel at Resorts World Manila in Paranaque City. He confirmed that eSports would be a regular event in the 11-nation Games that the country will be hosting next year. The 2017 SEA Games was held in Kuala Lumpur, Indonesia.
