Founder of Low Profile Summit corporation who is an ex-police is now wanted for multi-million investment scam.

PO2 Michael Ocampo Yap, an AWOL police officer will be facing syndicated estafa for not being able to pay back investors of his company.

A warrant of arrest was released by Parañaque City RTC last January 30 against Michael Ocampo Yap , his wife Maria Raissa Yap, Jan Michael Fajardo, Mark Anthony Ocampo and Eric Melegrito.

According to news reports, the victims were mostly OFWs ( Overseas Filipino workers), jail, military and police officers . One of his relatives (aunt) identified as Linda Ocampo took out P85,000 from her pension to invest in her nephew’s company.

“Lahat kami galit sa inyo… Hindi kayo lumulutang. Hindi namin ninakaw ang pera na ‘yan, pinaghirapan namin ‘yan… Pamangking buo pa man din kita, tapos ginanito mo ako? ” she said in an interview

All were enticed to invest because of a promising 20-30% profit.

However, Low Profile Summit Corporation closed last February 2018.

It was said that PO2 Michael Ocampo Yap and his family is nowhere to be found.

Earlier in 2018, Michael Ocampo Yap was interviewed by ABS-CBN news and stated that – “Iyung perang ibinigay nila sa akin ay nilagay ko lang sa Wahana. Ang Wahana po nagkaproblema at hindi na ako binabayaran…Kakasuhan na rin po namin ang Wahana. Wala po akong planong manloko, malinis ang konsensiya ko. Ako ay naloko lang din,”

Victims of this investment scam have asked help from National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
