Fire will Burn and Arrows will Fly in This Week’s “The Flash” Episode

Warning: Spoilers Ahead!

The Flash is going to have his hands full in the upcoming episode of the CW series entitled, “Rogue Air.” He will not only face an array of villains but will also have his final showdown with the Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh).

Flash Arrow

The Scarlet Speedster though will not be alone. He will get some much needed help from two of his closest allies – Arrow (Stephen Amell) and Firestorm (Robbie Amell) whom Barry will call upon to subdue his former mentor, Dr. Harrison Wells a.k.a the Reverse-Flash.

In addition to the crossover appearance of Arrow, fans are expected to see a different Barry Allen who, for the first time, will seek help from a major foe, Captain Cold a.k.a. Leonard Cart (Wentworth Miller) in order to deal with a big problem.

The episode will reveal the reason why the Flash seem to be unable to match the Reverse-Flash’s speed with a major discovery by Cisco (Carlos Valdes) of a device that has been charging up Wells the entire time.

It will also be revealed that Wells has been hiding in the particle accelerator which he reactivates with his futuristic key. The Reverse-Flash then speeds out of the pipeline when Barry, Cisco and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) comes to check. While Barry runs after the Reverse-Flash, Cisco and Joe were attacked by the newly-freed Peek-a-Boo (Britne Oldford) who also attempts to kill Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker). Peek-a-Boo is subdued by Iris (Candice Patton) who hits the former with a pipe, saving Caitlin’s life in the process.

Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett), abducted and imprisoned by the Reverse-Flash in the previous episode, is rescued by Team Flash. He later breaks up with Iris.

Worried about what can happen if the accelerator reactivates with metahumans still trapped inside, Team Flash decides to transport them to another facility. In order to facilitate the transfer, he asks for the help of Capt. Cold who double crosses Barry by helping the Rogues escape.

Captain Cold

“Rogue Air” promises to provide some answers to lingering questions posed earlier in the season: Will Barry time travel in order to prevent the murder of his mother? Will the Reverse-Flash finally make it back into the future?

According to an interview by The Hollywood Reporter last week with Tom Cavanagh, there would definitely be answers to these questions. Will these be in this week’s episode? Stay tuned in order to find out.
