Gen. Bato receives Gusi Peace Prize International award

PNP Chief Police Director General Ronald Dela Rosa was awarded a Gusi Peace Prize International award.

In the 15-year history of the foundation, he is the first ever PNP chief to receive this prestigious award. The 2016 Gusi Peace Prize Laureates consisted of a Prime Minister, National Chief of Police, Health Minister, Philanthropist, Economist, Doctor, Architect and a Humanitarian.


Gen. Bato was recognized in the field of Peacebuilding (Fight Against Drugs and Crime) .


Gusi Peace Prize honors individuals and organizations who have given exemplary contributions to Global Peace and Progress.

The Gusi Peace Prize Foundation was founded by its now chairman Barry Gusi. The awarding ceremony  annually held its awarding ceremony every fourth Wednesday of November.

This year, the awarding ceremonies for the 15th Annual Gusi Peace Prize International Awarding Ceremonies was held last Nov. 23, 2016 at the Plenary Hall of Philippine International Convention Center, Manila.

It was a week-long activity that started Nov. 19 to 27. Prior to the awarding ceremony were other activities namely – Peace Summit held in Vivere Hotel, Alabang; SINO-ASIA PACIFIC MEDICAL FORUM with international speakers to lecture to 100 doctors participants at Peninsula Hotel; Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Rizal Park; Mini Tour around the City Manila; Peace Forum at Armed Forces of the Philippines and a Thanksgiving Dinner.
