Indonesia tsunami after volcano eruption kills 222 and more are missing

Indonesia tsunami occurred Saturday night that struck Sunda Strait. There were 222 confirmed casualties, 843 injured and there are still missing persons.

According to reports, the tsunami is believed to have been caused by the eruption on the volcanic island of Anak Krakatoa, which triggered undersea landslides. It is one of the 127 active volcanoes situated along the Indonesian archipelago. The Pandeglang region of Banten province in Java is the worst-hit area.

One of the videos of the Indonesia tsunami shared online was the footage taken at a band concert.

Popular Indonesian rock band Seventeen was performing at a resort when a giant wave hit them from behind.
Band singer Riefian Fajarsyah confirmed that the band’s bassist and road manager died, and three other band members and his own wife were missing.
