To help our Muslim brothers and guests travelling in the capital, we have prepared an updated list of Halal Restaurants in the Metro where they can dine without having to worry about violating a fundamental Muslim ritual and observance.
Halal is an Arabic word which is literally translated as “permitted or allowed” according to Sharia or Muslim law. The ritual applies to food and beverages that may be consumed by any Muslim.
Halal is not only limited to the kind of food or beverage but it also refers to how they are prepared. Thus, it is necessary for Muslims to be watchful of the places where they dine or eat lest they violate a basic but essential religious observance.
The list of Halal Restaurants below are based upon the most recent list (March 2015) gathered from the internet, the Malaysian Embassy website and the Islamic Da’wah Council of the Phillipines.
1) Mouds Chicken Halal – 829 Globo de Oro Street, Quiapo, Manila
2) June-Nairah Halal Food Restaurant – 826 Globo de Oro Street, Quiapo, Manila
