The Philippines and Spain have a lot in common in culture and tradition. One such tradition is cooking and food preparation during celebrations, festivals and important occasions. This tradition shared for more than three hundred years continues with this grand festival of the palate.
Madrid Fusion Manila 2015 will put the Philippines at the center of the world’s culinary map. Choice dishes from across the country will be served for lunch that will showcase a variety of Filipino cuisine prepared by the best chefs using the finest local ingredients. “For day one, food varieties and ingredients found in Luzon will be presented. For day two and three, the best of Visayas and Mindanao will be laid out repectively,” said LTB Philippines Chef Association President, J. Gamboa in his open invitational letter.
Apart from Chef J. Gamboa, other ‘Alpha-lister’ chefs who will attend the sumptuous event are Fernando Aracama, Margarita Fores, Jose Luis Gonzales, Pepe Lopes, Rob Pengson, Bruce Ricketts, Myrna Dizon Segismundo, Claude Tayag, and Juan Carlos de Terry.
Furthermore, this gastronomic event will be graced by Top Chefs from Spain, including Andoni Luis Aduriz, Elena Arzak, Quique Dacosta, Ramon Freixa, Francis Paniego, Paco Roncero, Mario Sandoval, and Paco Torreblanca of Torreblanca Bombonerias y Pastelerias, who was named Best Pasty Chef in Spain and Europe. Two legendary chefs from Asia will likewise be at the event: Andre Chiang ang Alving Leung.
