The highly anticipated romantic comedy ‘My Ex and Whys’ top-billed by rumored couple Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil is absolutely supported by their fans.
The romantic movie on its first day has gone through million of earnings.
According to Star Cinema, ‘My Ex and Whys’ is definitely successful in its first day of showing as it already earn P31.5 million!
Star Cinema took to Instagram to share the news that “My Ex’ and Why’s” grossed ₱27 million but updated the earnings to ₱31.5 million. The romantic comedy film has one of the biggest opening day gross for all Filipino films.

Allegedly, the gross earnings is higher than the debut-day grosses of “Everyday I Love You” (P16 million) and “Just the Way You Are” (P12 million), movies also topbilled by the young Kapamilya loveteam.
The ‘My Ex and Whys’ first day of gross earnings is however way short to Vice Ganda and Coco Martin’s “The Super Parental Guardians,” as it holds the record for the highest opening day gross of a Filipino film at P75 million.
Also from Star Cinema, the comedy was released during the Christmas season, where more moviegoers flock cinemas and school is out.
The romantic-comedy movie helmed by “Forevermore” director Cathy Garcia-Molina, ‘My Ex and Whys’ is about a former playboy (Gil) trying to prove to his ex-girlfriend (Soberano) that he’s a changed man. It is now showing in theaters nationwide.
The film was released on February 15 and is available in most cinemas nationwide.
