Senator Bong Revilla won the 2019 Senatorial race. He was at the no. 11 slot with 14,624,445 .
As we all know, he was the most bashed candidate in the recent elections.
Last December 2018, he was acquitted by The Sandiganbayan for plunder case involving his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or pork barrel. Janet Lim Napoles was one of the his co-accused in the
anti-graft court. He was released after 4 yrs. in prison, but had to past bail of P480,000 bail after his promulgation because he still faces 16 counts of graft.
In today’s Comelec proclamation of the 2019 Senate winners (Read:Complete list of 12 Senator winners 2019), the newly elected senator had this to say to his bashers and for those who did not vote him-
At sa mga hindi sa akin bumoto, I know time will come you will realize also na mali ’yung naging decision niyo,”
Aside from his graft case, Senator Bong Revilla became popular in the recent election because of his viral “budots” TV ad. Many memes and parody came after his campaign TV advertisement came out.
