Philippine Bar Exam Results, List of Passers – October 2014 released on March 26, 2015

Much awaited results of the October 2014 Philippine Bar Exam have been released and posted in Complete List of Bar Exam Passers and Top 10.

The recent bar exam has a passing rate of 18.82%  or 1,126 successful examinees out of the total 5,984 law graduates who took the Bar examinations in October 2014.

The said examination was conducted in four Sundays of October (5,12, 19 and 26), the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) in Manila.

The passing grade was said to be 75%, with each subject area given the following weights to determine the examinee’s average.

  • Political and International Law – 15%
  • Labor and Social Legislation – 10 percent%
  • Civil Law – 15 percent%
  • Taxation – 10%
  • Mercantile Law – 15%
  • Criminal Law – 10%
  • Remedial Law – 20%
  •  Legal Ethics and Practical Exercises – 5%

The 2014 bar examination covers the following topics, popularly known as the bar subjects: Political Law, Labor Law, Civil Law, Taxation, Mercantile Law, Criminal Law, Remedial Law and Legal and Judicial Ethics.

The Philippine Bar exam consists of 20% multiple choice questions and 80% essay-type questions same as last year’s previous year exam structure.
