This is a very momentous event for Pia as she is the first ever Filipino to have this opportunity. Currently, Madame Tussauds museum houses wax figures of popular Hollywood celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt , Taylor Swift and others.
Now before bringing it overseas, Filipinos were given the chance to first see the Pia Wurtzbach wax figure.
Pia’s wax figure wore the blue Michael Cinco gown. It depicted the moment she passed on her crown to Iris Mittenaere of France in 2015. Actually, designed Michael Cinco was involved in recreating the Swarovski-embellished gown for the wax figure. There were other 20 artists that also worked on the wax figure that took six weeks to complete in London.
It was reported that Pia Wurtzbach’s wax figure is estimated to be at Php 13 million.
According to Pia – “Madame Tussauds chose this pose [where I am holding out the crown] because they wanted something interactive, where people can have their own crowning moment as Miss Universe and take pictures,”
