More that 18 years after her debut single, “Baby One More Time,” announced her arrival in pop music world, Pop princess Britney Spears will finally have her “sneak away to the Philippines.”
In her official Facebook page on Tuesday, the Pop Princess superstar made a surprise announcement – to hold a one-night concert on June 15 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Before long, “Britney Spears” was a trending topic on social media.
Later on, according to a local promoter Wilbros Live, the news has been confirmed. “We’ve been in negotiations for almost a year,” Wilbros Live executive Glenn Llamas told the Inquirer. “We have been speaking with Britney’s management and representatives.”
In preparation for the fans of Pop Princess, tickets of her concert will be go on sale on April April 5; call 470-2222.
Further, Britney’s live concert in Manila entitled, “Britney: Live in Concert,” is expected to be a part of a coming world tour, which many Britney fans have been speculating about for some time now.
Meanwhile, the recording artist has yet to extensively go around Asia, with her previous tour having had only two stops in the continent: Tokyo in 2002 and Abu Dhabi in 2011.
In 2011, Britney has sold over 100 million albums worldwide has went on tour.
While in 2013, she kicked off her residency show in Las Vegas titled “Britney: Piece of Me,” which runs until September this year.
Being dubbed as the “Pop Princess”, Britney is know for her nine studio albums under her belt—the latest one being “Glory”—and had released a slew of memorable hits, including “(You Drive Me) Crazy,” “Oops … I Did It Again,” “Toxic,” “I’m a Slave 4 U” and “Womanizer.”
