Singapore MRT and LTA services were disrupted Tuesday night. The management gave away free tickets and free shuttle rides to affected commuters.
Both North-South and East-West lines bogged down at the same time due to a power surge that led to a shut down of the two line systems.
Train service is not available on the North-South and East-West Lines (NSEWL). Free bus services are available at all NSEWL MRT stations.

Transportation Minister Lui Tuck Yew said he was “extremely concerned” about Singapore MRT and LTA breakdown in the operations and expressed his apology to the commuting public through his Facebook.
Perhaps, the MRT administration in Manila can learn a thing or two from this said incident.
