The ‘Super Parental Guardians’ movie of Vice Ganda has earned over P246 million in five days. The good news being announced by the lead star Vice Ganda in “It’s Showtime” on Monday.
With the success and earnings of the movie, Vice thanked his fans in supporting ‘Super Parental Guardians’ movie.
“Gusto ko lang i-share sa inyo na after five days ay naka P246.9 million na po tayo, 246.9 million worth of love. Maraming, maraming salamat po,” he said.
The movie which was directed by Joyce Bernal,is about a tough-talking gang leader (Coco Martin) forced to take care of his orphaned nephews with a gay friend of his late sister-in-law.
“The Super Parental Guardians” earned P68 million on its first day of screening last Wednesday.
The Super Parental Guardinas movie also features the big screen debut of child actors Simon “Onyok” Pineda and Awra Briguela. It is Vice Ganda and Martin’s follow-up to their massively successful “Beauty and the Bestie,” which holds the record for the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.
Last year, “Beauty and the Bestie” which was included in Metro Manila Film Festival finished its box-office run with a more than P520 million.
Further, the Super Parental Guardians marks the second film of Coco with Vice after their blockbuster tandem in the 2015 movie Beauty and the Bestie. This is Vice Ganda’s first non-VIVA Films produced film and first film to be directed by Bernal since Wenn V. Deramas’ death in February 2016. This also marks as Vice Ganda’s first non-MMFF movie since This Guy’s in Love with U Mare! in 2012.
