While the social media is now hyped with photos and videos of damaged Balikbayan boxes because of BOC’s (Bureau of Customs) inspection scheme, here’s an interesting video that will surely add fuel to the fire on the public’s uproar against the corruption that has compromised our OFW’s “padala.”
A netizen under the name Aljohn Santuyo has uploaded an exposé of a Manila City Hall post office employee allegedly making a kickback from their transaction.
In the video it will be heard that netizen was claiming a package that according to the posted packing slip contained baby clothes, food, shoes, and accessories and was declared to be worth $300.Surprisingly, in the custom’s assessment slip the package was charged at more than Php 3000.
Lucky for him, a Manila City Hall post office employee offered a “generous” discount. However, the receipt that was handed to him said otherwise.
Now, unluckily for this post office employee, her face and name was captured exposing not only her act but her identity as well.
Here’s the complete text and video of this kickback incident.
Bumalik ako after 1 week. P1600 na lang daw. Wala daw resibo un. Medyo naawa. P1500 lng tinanggap.
