The three coaches – Broadway Diva Lea Salonga, Popstar Sarah Geronimo and Rock Icon Bamboo Mañalac gave this young singer a standing ovation in his blind audition.

After Gian’s performance, one of the coaches Lea Salonga rushed to give him a hug while saying “sandali lang, kinilig ako.”

Masarap lang ung tapon mo eh, parang steady lang, very cool ndi ung trying hard,” coach Lea started.

Coach Sarah who admired Gian said after his performance “Pwede kang mag ballad, pede ka din chill lang ung parang nagkkwento ka lang, pede ka din bumirit ng palaban,”.

While Coach Sarah was giving her thought to Gian’s performance, coach Bamboo said “Parang si coach, parang ako ung describe mo tpos may guitar pa,”

Nagustuhan ko sa boses mo ung puso, very soulful, very soulfully yung pagkanta mo, Coach Bamboo said amazingly to Gian. Then Coach Bamboo asked Giad to jam with him to the tune of Marron 5’s “Sunday Morning.”

“At 9 years old, you were complete,” coach Lea added.

Gian surprised viewers when he chose Coach Sarah over the other coaches, particularly Coach Bamboo who was obviously expecting that he will join his team.

Itong coach na ito alam kong madami pa akong matutuhan sa kanya,” Gian explained before he picked coach Sarah.

Team Sarah Geronimo already has a prime candidate, with 2 artists Gian Luigi Ale and Kyle Echarri who could get much further in the competition, and another one, Zephanie Dimaranan.

Team Lea Salonga on other hand got Bianca Marbella and a Tigwahanon Manobo tribe kid Reynan Dal-Anay, who also both showed great potential.

Team Bamboo at this point has its 2 artists, Romeo Espino and Ataska Mercado.

The Voice Kids Season 2 airs every Saturday at 6:45 p.m. and on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. hosted by Robi Domingo and Yeng Constantino.
