All storm signal warnings have been lifted in the entire country, but the public is warned of possible intense rains, more flooding in low lying areas and landslides in mountainous regions. This is due to enhanced Southwest Monsoon or Habagat on the western and central portions of Luzon including Metro-Manila.
As of August 23, 11 pm, Typhoon Ineng is at 525 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes with winds up to 170 kph and gust up to 215 kph. It is moving at 15 kph North Northeast towards Japan. It has heft 10 casualties and 17 missing in Northern Luzon. Taiwan residents were advised to evacuate their east coast area.
